One of the biggest lies we’ve been told is that nothing can change.
We’ve heard it after every mass shooting. After every heartbreaking headline. After every moment when the country seems ready to move on.
But we’ve spent the last eight years proving that’s simply not true.
Since March For Our Lives was founded in 2018, this movement has helped win more than 250 gun safety laws across the country. We helped pass landmark legislation in Florida after Parkland, organized alongside advocates in Illinois to help secure a ban on assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, mobilized millions of young voters, and pushed Congress to pass the first major federal gun safety legislation in nearly 30 years.
None of those victories happened because those in power suddenly decided to act. They happened because young people organized, survivors spoke out, communities refused to give up, and supporters like you stood beside us.
Every victory has made people safer. But our work is far from over.
Gun violence remains the leading cause of death for young people in America. Too many families still wake up to the same unimaginable phone call. Too many communities are left to grieve while elected leaders fail to meet the urgency of this crisis.
That’s why we’re still here.
Every campaign we launch, every young organizer we train, every story we help amplify, and every law we fight to pass is powered by people who believe we can build something better.
