We’re four days into the Trump administration. Civil rights are being rolled back left and right. We’re heading down a path that doesn’t look good for the future.
To make people afraid of each other, the far right pushes the false narrative that the country is full of dangerous criminals and homicides are skyrocketing out of control.
We’re here to turn that around.
Let’s get the facts straight. Overall crime rates are not rising. In fact, since 2023, the rate of gun homicides is down by 13.1%.
There are feasible solutions like community-based intervention, which have proven themselves effective in cities like Philadelphia where homicides have dropped by 37%.
But Trump, an extremist Supreme Court, and a right-wing Congress refuse to take action on proven solutions. Instead of working to fix problems, they threw the whole Office of Gun Violence Prevention out.
But March For Our Lives knows how to organize under these conditions. We made progress during the last Trump administration, and now, it’s up to us to do it again.
He’s tearing down our movement’s work and creating an agenda that works against the people.
We went to look for the Office of Gun Violence Prevention’s website, and instead were greeted by this page:
Onwards,

Your Personal Invite To the Movement Fund 💌💙
At March For Our Lives, we call our monthly supporter program The Movement Fund.
Why are monthly recurring donors so important? The amount of one-time individual donations we receive as an organization varies vastly from month to month.
Without a steady stream of monthly donations coming in our door, it would be impossible to accurately plan our budgets, create long-term strategies to win a future free from gun violence, plan and execute on-the-ground organizing efforts, recruit and train more gun safety champions, and more.
One of the best ways that you can help sustain our movement is by becoming a recurring monthly donor. Can you sign up today?
