Today, we want to introduce you to one of March For Our Lives’ young activists, Eloísa Harper from Boise, Idaho.
Eloísa is a 17-year old high school student and the co-director of March For Our Lives Idaho. From advocating against youth voter suppression to leading the fight for gun safety in Idaho, she is not afraid to speak up about the most pressing issues affecting our generation.
Last year, she helped lead MFOL Idaho’s efforts to call out voter suppression by filing a lawsuit against a jarring new Idaho law that would have disenfranchised thousands of students, by eliminating student IDs as an acceptable form of identification used for voting. The law, alongside countless others on the table nationwide, is a blatant tactic to silence our generation from participating in democracy and making real, structural change.
And earlier this year, Eloísa also mobilized her community to help fight for a bill that would keep guns out of Idaho schools.
Eloísa is proving that students are the key to ending gun violence and protecting our democracy. Idaho raised her, but her fight is for all of us.
But her fight and our fight couldn’t happen without you. When you support MFOL, you’re backing leaders like Eloisa—students demanding the future they deserve. This movement runs on youth power. Make a donation today to fuel our movement.
Thank you,
March For Our Lives
P.S. When you donate $10+, we’ll send you a sticker, and when you give $50+, we’ll add in a free MFOL t-shirt. Supplies are limited, so don’t wait and donate today!
Your Personal Invite To the Movement Fund 💌💙
At March For Our Lives, we call our monthly supporter program The Movement Fund.
Why are monthly recurring donors so important? The amount of one-time individual donations we receive as an organization varies vastly from month to month.
Without a steady stream of monthly donations coming in our door, it would be impossible to accurately plan our budgets, create long-term strategies to win a future free from gun violence, plan and execute on-the-ground organizing efforts, recruit and train more gun safety champions, and more.
One of the best ways that you can help sustain our movement is by becoming a recurring monthly donor. Can you sign up today?
