We’re not going to sugarcoat this. This year didn’t go exactly as we wanted.
Trump’s victory puts our essential rights and fundamental freedoms in jeopardy, and that includes our right not to be shot. Trump has explicitly said he intends to steamroll our democracy and exploit the presidency to roll back the gun safety progress we’ve made. The danger is clear.
But here’s the thing – we’ve been here before. March For Our Lives was founded during the first Trump Presidency, and if there’s one thing we know how to do, it’s fight Trump. We have a plan and we’re not backing down.
2025 Checklist:
🟦 Prevent the implementation of Project 2025. Trump will prioritize lowering the standards for concealed carry licenses, arming teachers, and encouraging gun sales without background checks. We will closely monitor legislation and meet with key leaders on Capitol Hill to advocate against these dangerous actions.
🟦 Identify opportunities for state-based victories in our 2025 priority states: Arizona, Illinois, Maryland, Texas, and Wisconsin. We’ll advocate for a wide range of topics including regulating firearms to minors, alternative crisis response models, statewide offices of gun violence prevention, and child access to firearms and safe storage.
🟦 Push for bold policy change. The gun safety movement is about more than who is elected president. Part of our role is to push the envelope around public safety and gun violence prevention legislation. We will continue to advocate for bold policies, such as the People’s Response Act and the Counseling Not Criminalization in Schools Act.
🟦 Advocate in the judicial branch. We will work with other young people, gun violence survivors, and our partners to file amicus briefs that amplify survivor voices and defend our right not to be shot.
If you’re able, support our work now!
Onwards,

Your Personal Invite To the Movement Fund 💌💙
At March For Our Lives, we call our monthly supporter program The Movement Fund.
Why are monthly recurring donors so important? The amount of one-time individual donations we receive as an organization varies vastly from month to month.
Without a steady stream of monthly donations coming in our door, it would be impossible to accurately plan our budgets, create long-term strategies to win a future free from gun violence, plan and execute on-the-ground organizing efforts, recruit and train more gun safety champions, and more.
One of the best ways that you can help sustain our movement is by becoming a recurring monthly donor. Can you sign up today?
