A little background on Sen. Manka Dhingra — she began her legal career as a clerk for Justice Barbara Madsen at the WA State Supreme Court while in law school and then at the State Attorney General’s Office assisting with Sexually Violent Predator cases. Upon graduation, she went on to a two decade career as a King County Senior Deputy Prosecutor.
In 2017, her successful campaign flipped the State Senate to a Democratic majority that broke gridlock and has led to historically productive sessions. Senator Dhingra has led on behavioral health investments, public safety, and gun and domestic violence prevention. Her contributions to health, education, opportunity for all, and inclusion have been nationally-recognized.
