I’m going to be straight with you:
A couple weeks ago, we launched our Red-to-Blue Fund to go all in for our endorsed candidates in competitive flip districts across the country.
So far, we’ve raised about $12,500 toward our $100,000 goal. We still have a lot of ground to cover, and with just 35 days left until Election Day, we could really use your support right now. Rush a $25 or more contribution now to help us get there.
Here’s what our fundraising gap really means: it’s the difference between a candidate who can afford a full scale ground game, knocking on every door in their district, and one who can only send their team to knock half of them.
This money can make the biggest difference in the races that get the least attention: like many flippable U.S. House seats and especially races at the state legislature level. National media covers the Senate and Governors’ races around the clock, but state legislative races often have trouble getting the attention of even state or local media, which means many voters don’t even know who’s on the ballot. That gap shows up as down-ballot roll-off, and it’s a chronic problem for Democrats in states across the country.
In one of Leaders We Deserve’s target red-to-blue races in Florida last cycle, we saw exactly how much down-ballot roll-off cost us. While Vice President Harris carried the district, thousands of Harris voters didn’t vote all the way down the ballot and our endorsed candidate lost by just 485 votes. That’s a margin clearly decided by roll-off.
This cycle, we’re working to flip that same seat, and the polling shows it’s within reach. But we need to ensure our candidate, Dr. Jane Aman, has the resources she needs to have enough canvassers knocking doors every day to get her message out to voters across the district. And that’s just one example of how your donation to our Red-to-Blue Fund could power the next generation of bold, young Democrats to victory in November.
