The countdown is on in Houston:
Christian Menefee’s runoff is officially scheduled for January 31st — a narrow window to finish what we started and elect a young progressive who will champion his community and fight corporate power in Washington.
But the timing couldn’t be tougher: our end-of-month deadline hits TOMORROW at midnight, and holiday giving dropped off right when we needed to surge. We’re inches away from winning Christian’s runoff, electing Akbar Ali in Georgia, and ramping up for 2026 — we cannot afford to lose momentum now.
Christian has never backed down. As Harris County Attorney, he’s taken on major corporations and President Trump for targeting his community — and he’s beaten them again and again. Now he’s ready to take that fight to Congress for universal healthcare, affordability, and everyday families.
But he can’t do it alone. Your support is essential in keeping our team locked in helping Christian organize for January 31st. Your support sent David and our organizers to Houston to knock on doors before the primary and pushed Christian to first place in a 16-way field.
But runoff elections are won on turnout and momentum — and this one is too close for comfort. His runoff opponent finished right behind him in the primary and is nearly matching his fundraising. Even a brief slowdown in fundraising could mean the difference in winning a tight race and put everything we’ve built at risk.
