I take this job pretty seriously.

I spend a lot of time thinking about how to help every single one of the candidates we endorse win their elections. And you want to know one thing that helps me sleep at night?

It’s knowing that, since our launch in 2023, almost 14,000 of our grassroots supporters have signed up to make monthly recurring donations to Leaders We Deserve.

These donations are crucial to sustaining a movement like ours, so today I wanted to reach out and ask if you would set up a monthly recurring donation too.

Here’s why these recurring donations are so helpful:

  • They allow us to set a baseline for what we bring in each month, so we can budget that money toward our most pressing priorities.
  • They help us get to work well before Election Day. A month before the election is too late to hire and train organizers, buy TV ads, and compete with more established, well-financed campaigns.
  • They help create a snowball effect for our candidates. A lot of donors and organizations look at how much early money candidates raise to inform whether they should get involved, and recurring donations let us back young, progressive candidates early on to show their credibility.
