Ballots are on their way! It’s almost time to vote on I-2109, the ballot initiative to repeal the capital gains tax. If I-2109 passes, it will slash billions from childcare and education funding and increase tax pressure on working families and small businesses – all to give mega-millionaires and billionaires a tax cut.
We know we can defeat I-2109, but we can’t do it alone. There are lots of ways you can make a difference over the next few weeks, from voter outreach to exciting events.
First, we’re excited to invite you to Molly Moon’s in Bellevue this Saturday, October 19, for the return of their limited edition Eat the Rich Sundae! Stop by from 12 – 2pm to meet other activists, grab NO I-2109 signs, and of course, enjoy some great ice cream.
Molly Moon Neitzel is voting NO on I-2109 because “by giving a handout to a small group of the mega-rich, I-2109 puts more pressure on small businesses such as ours.” Watch our new video opposing I-2109 and share on Instagram, Facebook, or X to spread the word and invite your friends to Molly Moon’s this weekend!
We’ve also been working hard with the NO on I-2109 campaign to reach voters directly, and we need more volunteers. Sign up now for virtual phone banking shifts before November 5, and join Saturday canvassing in your area on October 19th or November 2nd!
As we work together to defeat I-2109, you can also donate to the campaign to support voter education efforts in the coming weeks or write a letter to the editor to spread the word in your community.
