I-2109 is a ploy by a few ultra-wealthy Washingtonians to avoid paying what they owe. It would cut more than $5 billion in funding for education, childcare, and early learning over six years to pay for a tax break for about 4,000 mega-millionaires and billionaires.
That’s the last thing our state needs – and voters will have a say in the matter this fall, when I-2109 is on the ballot.
Until then, we need to give these mega-millionaires and billionaires a run for their money. Brian Heywood and his ultra-rich friends will spend a fortune trying to twist the narrative about I-2109 so they can shape Washington’s tax code in their favor.
Defeating I-2109 is the next step in creating a more fair and just tax code in Washington state. We have less than five months to educate voters about this initiative and build a grassroots movement to defeat it.
Soon, you’ll start receiving emails directly from the official No on I-2109 campaign, sharing the latest updates and how you can help. Signing petitions, donating money, putting up a yard sign, spreading the word on social media – we’ll have ways for everyone to pitch in. (If you don’t want to hear directly from the No on I-2109 campaign, please let us know here.)
As always, we’re glad you’re in this fight with us. Thank you for joining us in saying NO to I-2109 – and don’t forget to add your name to support the No on I-2109 campaign!
In solidarity,
