Mega-millionaire Brian Heywood has bankrolled yet another ballot initiative to give himself a tax cut – and this is his biggest sham yet. A new legal analysis shows that I-645 takes aim at BOTH the newly passed Millionaires Tax and the capital gains tax on high earners.
If I-645 passes, it would blow a staggering $13 billion hole in Washington’s budget.
Washingtonians saw through Heywood’s greedy attempt to repeal the capital gains tax in 2024, when nearly 2/3rds of Washingtonians rejected I-2109. Now, it’s time to mobilize our movement again to remind voters what is on the line.
