- Protecting the capital gains tax is good for our economy and tax equity
Washington’s child care crisis cost the state $6.9 billion in losses in 2023. Nearly 40% of WA parents quit work or got fired after having kids. Many more missed out on career opportunities, missed work, or took extended time off due to child care issues.
I-2109 will worsen the child care crisis and force working families, small businesses, and local economies to pick up the burden. It’s time to make sure voters know what’s at stake – and why it’s crucial to vote NO on I-2109 this fall. Right now, there are three ways you can act to protect the capital gains tax:
- Sign up here for a 2-hour shift on September 7 or 8, the NO on I-2109 campaign’s upcoming Weekend of Action, to spread the word in your area.
- If you’re a parent, child care worker, or healthcare worker, add your name to collective statements opposing I-2109.
- Save the Date: Mark your calendar for IWN’s upcoming Activist Briefing on September 10 at 6pm, where you can learn more about what’s next in our fight to defeat I-2109. More details and an invite to RSVP coming early next week!
Thank you for taking action!
