It’s official! Together, we passed one of the most historic pieces of legislation in Washington state history. Thanks to your advocacy, we’re about to see a major reinvestment in our state’s families, workers, and small businesses.
That’s because the Millionaires Tax isn’t just about fixing our upside-down tax code. It will also:
- Double the number of Washingtonians who qualify for the Working Families Tax Credit
- Provide free school meals to all students
- Cut sales taxes on some essential products, putting hundreds of dollars back into families’ pockets
- Boost funding for early learning and childcare
- Deliver the largest tax cut for small businesses in state history
- And more!
This win was made possible by countless advocates, lawmakers, and organizations who spoke up and took action. Even some celebrities like Rick Steves are celebrating this moment! We all have a lot to be proud of.
