Hello Indivisibles of the Red & Rural Caucus!
Can you feel autumn reaching its cool fingers into your town? Here in the Midwest we could this past week! In fact as I sit here writing this letter to you all, I have the front door wide open letting in the cool 65 degree air!
With the coming of autumn, so to do we come upon more and more activity now that the summer months of vacation, family time, beach days and much more are behind us. Here at the Red and Rural Caucus we are hard at work preparing for our September call! We will come together again on Wednesday, September 24th at 8pm ET with an action packed call!
September at Indivisible
In the meantime between now and September 24th, here are the happenings at Indivisible that you all should stay up on!
First up is our sister caucus, the Truth Brigade’s Fall Kickoff Call. Like us, the Truth Brigade took a summer hiatus to allow their members a chance to breathe and get some rest! But they are back at it starting this Wednesday, September 10th at 6:30pm EDT. This call will bring together folks again after a summer off, to learn all about how we can effectively combat climate change disinformation. There will be a fantastic special guest speaker. If you are someone who is part of the Truth Brigade, or someone interested in learning more about how you can effectively combat the spread of disinformation, register for this call here!
Don’t Miss the Next Solidarity in Action Training!
The Solidarity in Action Speaker Series is a part of the Advancing Our Values Campaign, designed to equip indivisible members with the tools and knowledge to show up effectively for marginalized communities.
On September 15th, Stephanie Rearick, the founder of “HUMANs” (Humans United Mutual Networks, a global umbrella cooperative offering tools, experiences and material support, will join the next session in the series to speak about Creating Mutual Aid and Community Response Teams.
But that’s not all!
We have some big news that you might have seen last week, but that we wanted to make sure to pull out for you all! We have officially announced the next action happening through the No Kings Coalition! That’s right! October 18th is going to be our next No Kings mobilization with the coalition and with partners and Indivisibles across the nation! Think No Kings, but bigger and October! You can learn more about the October 18th event on our website here!
To help us kick off the fall season of resistance, we have a No Kings Kickoff Call with our partners on September 18th! This will be a great opportunity to hear all about what we are resisting, how we are doing so, and what the theme for this October is going to be! This is not a call to miss folks!
Share your Events!
Are you attending a protest or rally, holding an online meeting with your members or another organization, writing a letter to your editor as a group or maybe sending postcards to voters? Send us photos to share with all the other groups throughout the caucus, and throughout the organization! We are all in this together, and sometimes seeing each other in action is a reminder of why this work is so important.
