Indivisible One Million Rising Call – September 11, 2025

Posted on September 11, 2025

One Million Rising Registrants,

It has been an incredible moment getting to grow this movement with you.

You have held thousands of events — educating and mobilizing new activists across the country and creating the sort of grassroots engagement that successfully fights back against regimes and changes lives. This is what it looks like to stand up to authoritarianism.

We promised we’d be in touch with next steps. Look below for updates on the next No Kings and the future of One Million Rising.

NO KINGS

9/18 No Kings Launch Call >>

Join our launch call on September 18 to learn everything you need to know about the strategy and urgency of the upcoming No Kings Day, and hear from some of the smartest activists working to oppose the Trump administration’s authoritarian takeover.

And, most importantly:

  • Check the October 18 No Kings Day Event Map to see if there’s an event near you and register to attend. The more people who register early, the more momentum we will have going into the day. Registering early will get you invited to trainings and prep calls leading up to No Kings Day. New events will be added daily as they are registered. If you don’t see one near you today, don’t be discouraged and check back again later.
  • If you don’t see an event near you, sign up to host one. No Kings is an international, peaceful, grassroots movement. That means it is driven by people just like you who decided to stand up and resist authoritarianism. If no one has signed up to lead an event in your area, now is your time to step forward and make a difference. If it’s your first time or your 20th time leading an event, we will have lots of different ways to help support our hosts and answer questions while doing everything in our power to make sure your event goes off without a hitch. If you’re wondering how to register an event, watch this clip.

One Million Rising Follow-Up Call

10/8 One Million Rising Call >>

Many of you have been taking part in our Signs of Solidarity, Ground Avelo, and other One Million Rising campaigns. Come hear more about how they’ve been going, how you can stay plugged in, and how they’ve evolved as you’ve been spreading strategic non-cooperation across the country. Bonus: We’ll be launching a new organizing pathway to connect you to pillars-focused campaigns moving forward.

In the meantime:

  • One Million Rising event hosts: Many of you have been asking us how you can continue to meet past our event cutoff date. We are so excited that you all have created new organizing homes for the activists in your lives. If you want to continue to organize, meet as a group, and get access to extra resources (including Mobilize, explainers, calls to action, and support for grassroots groups), we suggest you start and formally register as an Indivisible group.
  • If you’re generally looking for ways to stay plugged in without starting your own group: We always encourage you to join a local Indivisible group in your area. There are established groups all across the country (with more being added daily) who are a perfect home for your organizing both locally and nationally. Look for an Indivisible group in your area.

Your commitment to organizing has brought hope not only to your own communities but also to those of us working to bring you more ways to resist. Watching you jump in with both feet — learning about strategic non-cooperation and then bringing those learnings to your friends, families, and acquaintances — has reminded us that there are enough of us on the right side of history, and together, we can win.

Thank you.

After the October 8 call, One Million Rising will wind down as a freestanding program, and the infrastructure and campaigns will fold back into the No Kings movement and the other organizing pathways we’ll share on that call. Join the October 8 call. Learn about next steps in strategic non-cooperation. And get yourselves ready to march with No Kings again by coming to our launch call on September 18.

Thank you for growing this movement with us,
The One Million Rising Team

Let’s talk about School Boards. ❗Kennewick, Prosser, and Richland pay attention ❗School boards make important decisions about public schools. They hold significant power over children's rights, setting policies that determine curricula, extracurricular programs, student discipline, and how district funds are spent. Kennewick, Prosser, and Richland have some big decisions to make in this election. We’ve outlined some quick points on each candidate to help with your research but remember to read your Voters’ Pamphlet and to research each candidate (some of them have campaign websites that make their goals loud and clear). And don’t forget to VOTE! Even if you don’t have children your vote could help your neighbors, family members, or the kids who sell lemonade down the street every summer. Remember, the policies and decisions made by school boards can have long-lasting effects on your community and its future generations. ... See MoreSee Less

Richland Voters! If you were unaware, Donald Landsman passed away on August 31, 2025. First and foremost, we’d like to send our deepest condolences to the entire Landsman family and we are keeping them in our thoughts during this difficult time.Regarding the upcoming election, you might be wondering what will happen if Donald Landsman wins the Richland City Council Position 4 seat.Under Washington law, Landsman is on the ballot because he won the primary election (on August 5, 2025) and his campaign is active. If he wins the general election, his seat will remain vacant until the Richland City Council appoints a successor. The position will then appear on the 2026 ballot, allowing voters to elect a candidate to complete the remainder of the four-year term.In short, if you vote for Landsman you are not actually voting for him, you are voting for the Richland City Council to pick a temporary successor. If you aren’t comfortable with that then let’s take a closer look at the other candidate running for the Richland City Council Position 4 seat: John Maier. As a young adult, John Maier is motivated to change Richland city codes to facilitate more affordable housing, to represent Richland’s needs with Ben Franklin Transit for longer service hours and more capacity for school trips, and to motivate others, especially young people, to engage in government. Learn more about him in your Voters’ Pamphlet.Do your research, know your candidates, and VOTE! ... See MoreSee Less

    NO KINGS Zillah Washington

    October 18, 2025  10:30 AM - 12:00 PM
1st Avenue & Vintage Valley Parkway Zillah, WA 98953

**In Zillah, we don’t put up with would-be kings. Come out and let your neighbors know they aren’t alone.

Our peaceful movement is only getting bigger and stronger. “NO KINGS” is more than just a slogan—it’s the foundation our nation was built upon. Born in the streets, carried by millions in chants and on posters, it echoes from city blocks to rural town squares, uniting people across this country to fight dictatorship together.

The president thinks his rule is absolute. But in America, we don’t have kings, and we won’t back down against chaos, corruption, and cruelty. Grow our movement and join us.

A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.

Across Benton and Franklin Counties, the need is growing—but the resources aren’t. Government agencies and nonprofit organizations work tirelessly to provide shelter, food, addiction recovery, and mental health support. Yet even their combined efforts fall short of meeting the full scope of the crisis.

So, what happens when the system can’t reach everyone? What do we do when the need shows up not in a spreadsheet, but on the corner holding a cardboard sign? We'll consider that question and more at our WEDNESDAY, October 22 Forum.
