GOP hedge fund manager Brian Heywood has put four deceptive and dangerous initiatives on our ballots this November. Together, they will harm working families by making critical cuts to education and childcare funding, efforts to reduce energy costs, to protect our clean air and water, and programs to provide care for seniors and people with disabilities.
These initiatives will cut taxes for big corporations and the wealthy, and shift the bill to middle- and lower-income families.
The Defend Washington campaign is working to defeat these initiatives and protect the critical wins progressives have achieved in the past decade. To defeat them, we need to hit 50,000 doors this weekend to spread the word about the initiatives and the danger they represent to our families. Will you join us and the No on I-2117 campaign to distribute campaign literature to key voters?
If we can defeat these initiatives this fall, not only will we have protected critical progressive programs, but also we’ll show Heywood that Washington won’t give his super-rich friends a massive tax cut at the expense of hard-working Washington families. Not now, not ever.
