Dear FAN friends near the Tri-Cities,
I am so delighted and honored that I get to gather with FAN advocates from the Tri-Cities and beyond one more time before I leave this work at the end of June! Please see below this generous invitation from Shalom UCC, with an opportunity to gather next Saturday, June 15, for coffee and updates. Please RSVP as requested to Gretchen:
Shalom UCC (United Church of Christ) hopes that you can attend a Tri-Cities FAN Roundtable that begins at 10:30 am on Saturday, June 15, 2024. This will include highlights from this spring’s virtual FAN summits and establish advocacy priorities for the Tri-Cities area. Priorities might include opportunities to work together on facilitating opposition to these November ballot initiatives: I-2109 – repealing Capital Gains Tax, I-2117 – repealing the Climate Commitment Act, and I-2124 – making sure that long term care benefits stay in place.
Our gathering on June 15th will also provide Tri-Cities FAN the time to honor Elise DeGooyer’s years of service, including the last few years as FAN’s Executive Director, to advocacy and social justice.
Shalom UCC will provide coffee and pastries. Please RSVP, so that we provide plenty of treats for everyone.
Event: FAN 2024 Advocacy Roundtable and Celebration of Elise DeGooyer’s Legacy
