As part of Congressional Black Caucus week in Washington, D.C., we just held our Divine Nine Candidate Training for Black women sorority members and it was so powerful we had to show you!
In this training, Meeting the Moment: From Sorority Leadership to Elected Office, participants explored the issues that matter most to them and identified ways to deepen their civic and political involvement in their own communities.
They also learned concrete steps they can take to pursue an appointment to a board or commission, participate in local and statewide policymaking, and move toward running for office.
Thank you to everyone who attended. Here are some of our favorite photos from the event!
PS: Support us with a donation of $5 or more, to train more Black and Brown women to run for office!
