Virginia is the biggest battleground in the country this year, and Emerge alums are leading the way.
From Democratic nominee for Governor Abigail Spanberger to a full third of House of Delegates candidates, our alums are on the ballot fighting to protect reproductive freedom in the last southern state with reproductive rights. Emerge women are running in 8 out of the 13 red-to-blue House of Delegates races, proving they are ready to step up and fight back against Republican extremism.
The balance of power in the House of Delegates is razor-thin. Democrats hold the majority by just one seat. Holding that majority will be key to advancing a Democratic agenda in Virginia and setting the tone for the rest of the country in 2026.
The majority of these Emerge candidates are part of the New American Majority, ready to fundamentally change not just the balance of power in Richmond, but the face of their districts and the future of leadership in Virginia.
