Sometimes, we have to email about what’s happening in the Trump administration. Not because we want to. Trust us, we’d prefer to hype Emerge women.
But this week, we can’t look away. With ICE preparing to escalate their activities to go after 300,000+ of our Haitian neighbors’ with protected immigration status, people who have come here in good faith and worked hard to build a life and serve their communities.
What’s the solution? Candidates like Massachusetts State Representative Tram Nguyen, on the ballot this year for MA-06 congressional district. Rep. Nguyen is not only a refugee and an immigrant to this country herself, in her professional life, she has served as an immigration attorney.
Her lived experience is what we need in Congress to push back against this merciless administration, and pass fair and humane immigration laws.
