SIGN ON: Justice Thomas must recuse himself →

I’m shocked by this news.

Last week, we learned that Ginni Thomas – a conservative activist with extremist tendencies and the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas – was a key player in the movement to undermine our democracy and perpetuate the Big Lie.

New text messages between Ginni Thomas and former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows show that not only did she attend the January 6 insurrection at the Capitol, but Ginni was also an insider to the official GOP effort to overturn the election results.

Here’s why this matters: The Supreme Court – including Ginni’s husband – already ruled on matters related to the National Commission to Investigate the January 6 Attack – and is expected to do so again.

These new reports prove that Justice Clarence Thomas has a clear conflict of interest and should therefore RECUSE himself from all January 6 business. Add your name if you agree:

These revelations are closely related to the rise in extremism we’re seeing here in Washington’s Fourth District. National Republicans have clearly signaled that behavior like Ginni Thomas’ is perfectly acceptable within the conservative movement – and that approval only leads to more and more extreme views being openly championed.

My own GOP opponents prove it every day as they race to see which will be the furthest-right candidate in our race for Congress, with Loren Culp openly calling for lynchings to replace our criminal justice system.

If we want to achieve real justice in the January 6 investigation and deal a true blow to the conservative extremist movement led by Trump and his allies, we need an impartial Supreme Court.

Sign on if you agree.

Thanks for standing up to the extremists with me,

Doug
