Hello Democrats,

We hope you all had a wonderful Fourth of July weekend! This summer holiday allows us to reflect on how far we have come as a country and how much more work there is to be done – this election cycle and beyond. What better way to show patriotism than building a winning volunteer coalition and gearing up Democratic wins this November! Our July Activist Challenge and Spotlight Training are all about connecting with those around you and meeting folks where they are to build community and organizing power.

Onward,

TRAINING AND ENGAGEMENT OPPORTUNITIES

July Activist Challenge
Our monthly Activist Challenge is designed to build infrastructure for Democratic campaigns and organizations through grassroots engagement. Are you ready to accept the challenge, and help elect Democrats up and down the ballot?!

For July’s Activist Challenge, we are challenging our #BPItraining family to check in with friends and family after their 4th of July celebrations and make sure they’re informed and ready to take action in the upcoming election!

Before You Call:

  • Identify all the open seats in your district for 2022
  • Do research on candidates running, make sure their policy stances align with those in the DNC Party Platform.

How To Reach Out:

  • Use your digital and relational organizing skills! Comment on 4th of July posts of friends, family, and neighbors!
  • Plan a time to catch up with loved ones over the phone or in person.

What To Say:

  • Check if their voter registration is up to date!
  • Plan a time to volunteer with a campaign in your district!
  • Talk to them about open seats and ensure that they are educated and excited about the upcoming election cycle!
    • Bonus: Ask them to check in with three friends using the same steps above!

Once you’ve completed the challenge, take a selfie and create a post on social media that includes the following information:

  • Your state or territory
  • A brief explanation of how you completed this month’s challenge
  • The hashtag “#BPItraining”
  • And don’t forget to tag “@TheDemocrats
