We know you’re probably getting ready to log off for Thanksgiving, so this will only take 60 seconds, Kendall (we promise).

Here’s where things stand:

We know the outcome of the presidential race was not the one we wanted, and you’re likely exhausted, frustrated, or both.

But as more votes are counted, they show Trump has now won less than 50 percent of the popular vote. That’s the narrowest popular vote victory margin in decades.

It’s clear: There are millions of voters all over the country who are not going to let Trump and a Republican Congress do whatever they want without a fight.

We can — and will — channel that energy into fighting back against Trump and his allies’ Project 2025 agenda. But to do that, we’ll need a strong and robust Democratic Party to organize and stop the worst impulses of a second Trump administration and an emboldened Republican Party under Trump’s control.
