This year, we launched our largest-ever voter registration program, When We Count, to register thousands of Democratic voters in key battleground states. Here we are onboarding the first group of voter registration fellows in Phoenix, Arizona.
We handpicked Arizona as our starting point for a reason: It’s a battleground state that Trump won in 2024 with a closeable voter registration gap. So we stepped up to do just that.
And in just a few weeks, we’ll be expanding the program to register even more voters.
Our When We Count voter registration fellows are organizing online and in-person, going to concerts, campuses, and even World Cup watch parties to register as many young people to vote as possible. The work these fellows are doing won’t just help Democrats win this year — it’ll help Democrats take back the White House in 2028.
