The DNC National Training Team and our partner organizations are running both in-person and virtual trainings around the country to prepare Democratic candidates, current and aspiring staff, and volunteers to win up and down the ballot in 2026.
We are excited to announce that we are now accepting applications for the fourth and FINAL NextWave Regional Bootcamp in 2026 for the Midwest Region, which will be held in Chicago, IL, August 26 – August 28! DNC Training Announcements and Opportunities 📣
NextWave Midwestern Regional Bootcamp: Chicago, IL 🏙️ 🐄
The DNC is seeking campaign professionals in the Midwest to participate in the NextWave Midwestern Regional Bootcamp in Chicago, IL, Wednesday, August 26 – Friday, August 28.
This three-day, in-person intensive training program will prepare the next generation of campaign and state party professionals for the 2026 cycle and beyond. This program will give participants specialized training based on their campaign experience level and connect them with other campaign talent and professionals in their region.
This program is FREE to attend, and will provide NextWave graduates with invaluable professional development opportunities both during and after the program.
Participants will be placed in one of two tracks based on their experience with professional campaign work:
Campaigns 101: for current or aspiring field organizers, fellows, and campaign associates with less than two cycles of experience who are looking to strengthen their skills and get exposure to new aspects of campaign and state party work. No previous experience with campaign work is required!
Management Track: for mid-level and senior campaign and state party professionals who understand the technical aspects of campaign work but are looking to expand their skills as managers and leaders in the Democratic ecosystem.

Join the DNC’s Virtual When We Count Organizer Bootcamp!
Thursday, July 30 — Friday, July 31
The DNC is now accepting applications for the virtual When We Count Organizer Bootcamp, a two-day training program designed specifically for graduating college seniors and aspiring young professionals (18-29) who want to jumpstart a career in political organizing and are seeking full-time employment between now and November 2026.
The second virtual bootcamp is scheduled for July 30 and 31 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET. Applicants from across the country are encouraged to apply at https://win.dnc.org/organizerbootcamp.
Upon the completion of each bootcamp, the DNC will directly share attendees’ resumes with battleground campaigns staffing up for critical roles in the midterms.
