These were the billionaires who were given prime seats at Trump’s inauguration earlier this week. Altogether, their total net worth is over $1 trillion.
Donald Trump is loyal to billionaires. That means he will do whatever he can to enrich his ultra-wealthy backers while the rest of us foot the bill. It’s already started: On day one, Trump loosened ethical standards for federal appointees, enabling them to accept gifts from lobbyists and lobby directly after working for the federal government. Does that seem fair to you?
We know things may seem bleak right now, but the truth is that in the last few months, thousands of Democrats have pitched in to help us build a strong Party with the resources to stand up to Trump and his allies. We can do it again — but only if we all come together.
We know $29 pales in comparison to $1 trillion. But trust us when we say that any amount goes a long way in helping us fight back — especially right now.
Thank you in advance for your help,
The Democrats
