Minute of US
Minute of US
June 3, 2026 @ 12:53 PM - 12:54 PM
We Pause. We Grieve. We Stay in Motion. We Resist.
So much harm is being done—to our communities, our democracy, and people across the globe. We cannot look away.
That’s why, starting this Wednesday, we’re joining our friends at Choose Democracy for Minute for US—a weekly moment of silence to honor those suffering under this administration and the destruction it’s causing.
Every Wednesday at 12:53 PM (local time), we take a minute to reflect, meditate, or simply bear witness. Do this with friends, family, co-workers, or alone—however makes sense for you.
Why 12:53 PM? That’s the moment January 6th rioters first crossed the barricades—and when the world’s three richest men sat at Trump’s inauguration. This action is about recognizing where we are and refusing to be numb to it.
Join us, and share your reflections with #MinuteOfUs.

We are now in a decisive phase of the fight against authoritarianism, the threat is real and the stakes are high. And people are fighting back. Millions have protested, and we've watched powerful organizing coming out of Minneapolis, Chicago, and other cities that have borne the brunt of ICE's assaults on our communities. Mass anger exists, but mass organization does not yet exist at the scale needed to win. Movements become real when they reach millions: organized, trained, and acting together.

June 4, 2026 @ 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM
https://secure.ngpvan.com/OdOZfQnSiUezIEQDlyIpZQ2
All families will eventually face a challenging moment. It could be a serious health issue, a newborn baby, or an elderly parent who needs care. For too many Americans, that moment means choosing between their loved ones and a paycheck they can't afford to lose.
Paid leave policies would be a gamechanger for families. Join us to learn what this legislation could look like, what it would mean for parents, caregivers, and communities, and what it actually takes to turn this policy into law.
We'll also take a close look at Virginia where they just passed paid family and medical leave and hear directly from the advocates and legislators who made it happen. Virginia proved it's possible. Come learn how to take action on paid leave at both the federal and state level.
