Precinct Committee Officers are the official members who make up our local Democratic Party organization. Elected PCO’s will be choosing the new party leadership in our reorganization meetings in the December timeframe. Leaders will be chosen for the county and legislative district local party organizations.
If you wish to be at the heart of our local party decision-making, please file to be an elected Precinct Committee Officer with the Benton County Elections Department before 5 PM, Friday, May 10.

The only people able to vote on all these leadership positions are the Democratic PCOs who file this week and get elected in the August 6 Primary. If you are unopposed by another Democrat in your precinct after filing has closed, you will automatically be certified as the Democratic PCO for your precinct for the 2025-2026 term.
If you wish to serve as a PCO for the remainder of 2024, please email our Chair at chair@bencodems.org.
If anyone is considering running for an office other than PCO or has questions about running, please reach out to elections@bencodems.org for support.
Earlier this year, the boundaries of the local Legislative Districts were changed. This is a new landscape and our choices for legislative offices may be notably different than they have been before.
