Our movement requires a constant beat – an unrelenting momentum in our communities and homes. A lot of that momentum is owed to the dedication of gun violence prevention chapter teams across Washington. From Thurston County to Port Angeles, we have seen gun violence become the number one priority across the state.
We know that tackling this issue requires grit, dedication, and a little bit of scrappiness. From spearheading campus organizing, community engagement, tabling, and roundtable discussions – it’s through the tireless dedication of the individual that makes a movement what it is.
This email serves as a thank you. A thank you to the hours put forward in a space that’s uncomfortable to confront, but we persist. Through the hours of chaos and heartbreak we will always find a way forward – together.
So thank you for persisting. We will continue to confront this horrible public health crisis and we couldn’t think of better partners while doing so.
