Last month, the Alliance for Gun Responsibility Foundation joined crisis responders, public health leaders, and community advocates from across Washington for the 2025 Together We End Gun Violence Crisis Responder Summit.
This event brought together law enforcement, EMS, mental health professionals, hospital intervention teams, and street outreach workers to do something critical: build real-time coordination to save lives.
Gun violence doesn’t happen in a vacuum — and it doesn’t get solved by one agency or one solution. We need a public health approach. One that connects the people doing life-saving work at every level:
- From the street to the statehouse
- From harm reduction to hospital discharge
- From violence interruption to long-term prevention

At the summit, leaders like Attorney General Nick Brown and Senator Manka Dhingra joined violence prevention experts and community responders to talk about what works — and what still stands in the way. These are honest, challenging conversations. And they only happen when local leaders have the resources and support to come to the table.
The Alliance plays a critical role in bringing people together to break down silos and build real safety for Washington families. And we need grassroots donors to keep showing up for this work.
