Alliance for Gun Responsibility – December 21, 2024

Posted on December 21, 2024

Before the year comes to a close, I wanted to continue to highlight the Alliance’s state-based work, next in Michigan. The Alliance for Gun Responsibility is proud to be part of the growing movement to protect Michigan’s communities from the devastating impact of gun violence. But there is still so much more to do—and we need your help to ensure that progress continues.

This year, we made historic strides in protecting families and communities from gun violence in Michigan. Together with our dedicated partners, End Gun Violence Michigan, we’ve made incredible progress in advocating for laws that save lives. Here are just a few of the victories we’ve seen in Michigan this year:

  • Passage of critical domestic violence protection laws: These new laws help protect survivors by ensuring that firearms are kept out of the hands of abusers and preventing tragic deaths.
  • Educating thousands of volunteers: We worked with hundreds of dedicated leaders across Michigan to accelerate the implementation of protection orders and safe storage laws, ensuring that families and children are protected from the risks of unsecured firearms.
  • Mobilizing volunteers to advocate for change: Our partners at End Gun Violence Michigan turned out thousands of volunteers to push for stronger laws and funding to combat gun violence.

But we know that the fight is far from over. The road to a safer Michigan—and a safer country—runs through the states. Can you support our work to make the country safer with an end of year gift of $35.00?

In Michigan, we’re committed to ensuring that this progress continues. We cannot let the voices of those who want to roll back gun safety laws drown out the hard work and success of this year’s efforts. That’s why your support is so crucial.

Gun violence isn’t just a political issue; it’s a matter of life and death. The future of Michigan’s young people, families, and communities is at stake, and we need your support to keep fighting for their safety.

Will you help us continue this important work with a gift of $X today ?

Together, we can make Michigan—and the entire nation—a safer place to live, work, and raise our children.

Thank you for your unwavering commitment to saving lives.

SUPPORT OUR STATE-BASED WORK

In gratitude,

Renée Hopkins

Vote for Derek Sarley for State Representative!Derek Sarley is the only candidate left on the ballot that is committed to serving; Skyler Rude is running to be a placeholder and has already said he will NOT serve. The Republicans can choose any party loyalist, someone that has not once appealed to voters. ...
