ACLU Supporter, while abortion rights are under attack, people are suffering without needed medical care.
When the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, anti-abortion politicians took it as a green light to attack every element of reproductive health care – from medication abortion and emergency medical care to birth control.
With issues like abortion access on the line, we know there’s a lot at stake on the ballot this election. That’s why the people’s right to vote is so important.
To strengthen the ability for every person to vote for the values they care about, we’re prioritizing voting legislation – that can and should be passed on day one of the new session.
That’s why we’re calling on Congress to pass a comprehensive package of voting rights legislation to ensure that each of us can fairly cast our votes and be counted. Join our call: Tell Congress to pass voting rights legislation on day one.
The John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, Freedom to Vote Act, Native American Voting Rights Act, and Washington, D.C. Admission Act would all help ensure our democracy truly represents us.
These bills would help prevent voting discrimination, make voting more accessible for all of us, standardize voting requirements across states, take on gerrymandering, and much more.
Thanks for all you do,
The ACLU Team
