In less than two weeks, we’ll be at the Supreme Court arguing in defense of trans kids’ right to health care.
The facts of the case are simple: Extreme politicians are targeting families in their attempts to restrict all of our bodily autonomy and strip us of our basic right to needed health care. And we won’t let them get away with it.
We’re showing up in force – while our lawyers argue inside the Court to protect trans people and their families, we’ll be rallying on the steps to show just how dedicated our community is to trans justice. And we’ll be joined by the signatures of over 100,000 ACLU supporters who signed onto our petition demanding the Court defend trans rights.

The stakes couldn’t be higher. The arguments that politicians are using to ban trans care for kids are the same arguments used to deny abortion rights. And to this same end, President-elect Trump himself consistently targeted trans youth with hateful rhetoric during his campaign.
If the Supreme Court lets the Tennessee ban at the center of this case stand, it would effectively give a green light for politicians across the country to ruthlessly strip away our right to make our own medical decisions – from comprehensive, anti-science bans on gender-affirming care for trans people, to abortion bans, restrictions on birth control options, and more.
Enough is enough. The government has no place in our medical decisions – and trans kids deserve the freedom to live and thrive as themselves, without fear of discrimination.
