President Trump just signed an executive order attacking gender-affirming care for transgender people.

Trump’s order attempts to force healthcare providers to stop providing gender affirming medical care for young people altogether – threatening to withhold research and education grants from medical schools and hospitals and pulling Medicare and Medicaid funding for providers if they treat trans people under 19.
Targeting a vulnerable group of people and coercing medical providers to stop offering healthcare they need because of who they are is an unjustifiable abuse of federal power – and we and our partners are ready to stop it in court.
During Trump’s first term in office, we filed more than 400 legal actions against his administration, including litigation against Trump’s exclusion of transgender people from military service.
While our nationwide network of attorneys once again takes this fight to the courts to protect transgender peoples’ rights, we’re organizing across the country to create firewalls that prevent Trump’s federal government from enacting its discrimination against LGBTQ people.
