Richland registered voters will vote this November to update the Richland City Council election process to be like the rest of Washington’s First-Class Cities, Pasco, and Kennewick.
Currently all seven members of the Richland council are elected “at-large.” They can live anywhere in the city. A vote to change the city charter would mean five council members would have to be elected from the districts where they live and two would still be elected “at-large”. Each of the five proposed districts would have approximately 12,000 residents. An interactive map on our website can show you in which district you would live.
