Did you know millions of people have already voted? Like, more than 20,000,000 people? [1]
That’s a whole lot of early birds. Early voting is breaking records this year, as voters across the nation head to the polls in-person and send in their mail-in ballots. People aren’t waiting around for Election Day this year—and you don’t have to either!
So, quick question: Have you already voted? Click YES to celebrate with a virtual ‘I Voted Early’ sticker and photo frame you can share on social or send to a friend to remind them to vote! Not yet? Click below and we’ll help you find exactly when, where, and how to vote early in your state.
HAVE YOU VOTED YET?
Maybe you treat Election Day like a holiday (we do!). Maybe your to-do list is a mile long and you’re itching for something to check-off. Maybe you’d just rather not stand in a long line with a toddler doing gymnastics on your leg. Whatever your reason, early voting has you covered. It’s kinda like an early bird gets the vote situation.
Early voting is already underway in many states, and it’s a great way to make sure your voice is heard (often with more time options and shorter lines).
Here’s why we’re voting early this way this year and we think you should too:
- No surprises on Election Day! We want to be extra, extra sure our vote is counted! Voting early gives us plenty of time to sort out any problem that could otherwise keep us from voting on Election Day. Make sure you check Washington’s voter ID rules before you’re standing in line so you have what you need!
- Nobody needs extra stress! Avoid the long lines—voting early gives us more options and greater flexibility to cast our ballot on our own terms.
- Voting with kids and friends is fun! Make it a moment, not a chore—gather your friends, discuss what’s on the ballot, and then vote early together!
- Once your ballot is in, you can focus on our people and multiply our impact! After you vote, the days between now and November 3rd are yours to remind friends, drive a neighbor to the polls, or help another voter make a plan.
Ready? If you’ve already voted, grab your sticker and photo frame and spread the word. If you haven’t, it takes just a minute to look up your early voting options and make your plan.
SO… HAVE YOU VOTED YET?
A few more tips to help you vote this year:
- Hit a snag? If you encounter any barriers to voting, there’s an election protection helpline for you! 1-866-OUR-VOTE (1-866-687-8683). Don’t be shy about calling or texting if you encounter any issues. Your vote is important—and every vote should be counted.
- Bringing little ones? Grab these fun activities to keep the little ones busy while you vote. Be a voter, raise a voter!
Your vote is powerful, needed, and essential to protecting democracy. If early voting is available to you, we strongly encourage you to vote early so nothing keeps your voice from being heard on Election Day.
Let’s do this!
