TL;DR Is Joining the White House News Blackout
From the desk of Bibek, Senior Digital Strategist
The White House has banned CNN, MS NOW, and POLITICO. In solidarity, TL;DR is banning itself too. We have not been invited, but we assume it’s only a matter of time.
The logic is simple: if nobody reports that diesel costs a fortune, maybe nobody notices. Unfortunately, the guys filling up the work trucks noticed. So did Byron Donalds, Trump’s handpicked candidate for Florida governor, who is now keeping a polite distance from the man who picked him.
To replace the reporters, the White House launched a 24/7 YouTube channel. It’s all highlights, all the time, with no questions allowed.
Democrats don’t need any of that. Cheaper energy, fair wages, and elections (which nobody messes with) sell themselves. The only hard part is getting in front of voters to say so.

Campaign Security Course Package
Every campaign runs into disinformation, and most of it spreads before anyone corrects it. This two-part package covers where false claims start, how to answer them online and in person (campaign rumors included), and how to tell a reliable fact-checking source from a shaky one. No background required, just a willingness to get sharper. Start with part one, then take Combating Disinformation for Democratic Campaigns once the basics click.
THIS WEEK’S WINS
While the news may seem bleak, here’s what we can win when we organize and show up
California just made ballot interference a felony and made voter suppression easier to fight in court. With 80% of Californians voting by mail, the administration’s favorite target just got armor.
The Court rejected the administration’s plan to let the Postal Service restrict mail ballots for the midterms. Trump does not get to change the rules to win the game, thanks to the 23 states and voting rights groups who refused to play along.
NYC Mayor Mamdani’s administration just won back pay for more than 260,000 underpaid delivery workers, most of them immigrants, in the largest worker settlement in city history. Elect people who enforce labor law, and the greedy apps pay up.
