We are deeply concerned that changing routine vaccine standards will strip away guaranteed, no-cost insurance coverage for working families, force parents without paid leave to take off work for multiple extra doctor visits, and replace trusted medical science with political directives. Parents need clear, reliable rules based on science, not political choices. For decades, medical experts have guided our vaccine schedule to keep kids safe and build parent trust. Bypassing these medical experts creates confusion and risks taking away free vaccine coverage for working families.
In addition, forcing extra doctor visits creates huge problems for parents who lack paid leave and causes long clinic wait times. Delaying vaccination leaves infants unprotected when they are most vulnerable, and makes basic health care harder and more expensive. Government rules should make health care simpler and cheaper for families—not harder, more expensive, and more confusing.
