In just August, Trump berated and threatened three women journalists.
- He called the New York Times’ Maggie Haberman a “fake reporter,” a “stalker,” a “scammer,” and “unattractive”
- He berated CNN senior White House correspondent Kristen Holmes, telling her to “be quiet”
- He called on the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to punish NBC anchor Kristen Welker because he didn’t like what she said about him
This is Trump’s pattern. Remember in 2025, when he snapped at Bloomberg News reporter Catherine Lucey, telling her: “Quiet, piggy!”
Trump is a sexist sack of shit with zero respect for the freedom of the press. The only media he approves of are the channels that fawn over him.
A free and independent press is a crucial component of a functioning democracy. But Trump doesn’t want a democracy; he wants a dictatorship.
Congress must take action immediately.
