Leaders We Deserve has had the biggest cycle in our entire history. We’ve already won 34 elections and have elected 1 current member of Congress, and 3 presumptive members. Our state legislative record? 25-2.
Here’s just a snapshot of what you made happen:
- Mayor Mamdani: Leaders We Deserve was his largest organizational funder in the primary spending $300,000, while the establishment lost its mind. He won and is now one of the most popular elected officials in America, delivering on his campaign promises almost immediately.
- Christian Menefee was elected to Congress with Leaders We Deserve’s support, not once but twice! A former Harris County Attorney, Christian’s now taking Trump and Epstein collaborators to task on the Oversight Committee.
- Donovan McKinney won his congressional primary in MI-13. We replaced a corrupt Democratic Congressman with a progressive State Legislator who’s fighting against utility corporations jacking up prices.
- Demi Palecek won her primary to serve in the Illinois Statehouse, despite being outspent 9-1 by a gambling industry lobbyist. She stood tall against ICE when they harassed her neighbors in Chicago, and will keep up the fight when she’s sworn in.
- Ismael Luna was our first challenger to oust a state legislative incumbent. Ismael, who was homeless as a teenager and now works to get youth housing, beat a Wisconsin lawmaker who threatened to shoot her colleagues…no seriously.
- Claire Valdez is headed to Congress in NY-07 after crushing the establishment’s pick by 25 points. A union organizer, Claire will push for workers’ and tenant’s rights in Congress.
- Akbar Ali, the youngest lawmaker in Georgia history, called Republicans’ bluff and forced them to pass a suspension of the gas tax – putting money back in Georgians pockets during Trump’s forever war that’s raising gas prices through the roof.
- Randy Villegas beat an establishment-backed candidate who shared over 50 corporate donors with the Republican incumbent in CA-22. Now, he’s running on a platform of being unbought and unbossed in the Central Valley.
Your support made this happen. We don’t take a dime from corporate PACs, we are powered by Americans like you chipping in whatever you can.
But here’s the honest truth: the hardest part is still ahead. We have many more critical races to win in this final stretch. Red-to-blue flips that could break the GOP’s grip on power. Primary challenges against do-nothing Democrats. Candidates who need real resources to compete against opponents with corporate PAC money and the party machines behind them.
We’re up against rightwing billionaires, corporations, and special interests that will spend whatever it takes to buy the candidates of their choosing and protect the status quo. With 75 days to go until Election Day, right now is exactly when grassroots support makes the biggest difference.
