This November, we’re going up against one of the most organized and well-funded anti-trans opponents in the entire country.
Initiatives 638 and 001 are single-handedly being funded and supported by hedge-fund MAGA millionaire Brian Heywood and his PAC, Let’s Go Washington, which is also working hard to defeat the millionaire’s tax this November—go figure.
As of June, Heywood has already poured $5.5 million dollars supporting I-638 and I-001, by far the most well-funded anti-trans effort in the country.
It’s also more than FIVE TIMES the amount of resources our grassroots campaign has raised to defeat I-638 and I-001.
The reality is, we don’t have a big, wealthy donor to call up for a blank check. Our campaign is made up of Washingtonians who believe our schools should be safe spaces for all our kids, where all our girls can play sports freely, and our trans community is protected.
