March For Our Lives – July 2, 2026

On Tuesday, the Supreme Court agreed to hear challenges to AR-15 and semiautomatic rifle bans in Connecticut and Illinois. With a 6-3 conservative majority, the court is positioned to potentially strike down public safety measures that communities fought like hell to pass.

It’s easy to feel a familiar wave of anger and grief when reading this news. We remember the communities changed forever by these weapons of war – from Sandy Hook to Uvalde. The Connecticut law on the line was built directly from the grief and resilience of the Sandy Hook community.

But if there is one thing I want you to take away from this email, it’s this: We are not powerless.

We were founded during a Trump administration, and we are living through a second one. We found a way to organize, disrupt, and win the first time, and we will do it again.

All the lobbying and legal briefs in the world won’t save us without a profound culture shift around guns. That is where we come in. We are a youth-founded, youth-run organization built on the belief that regular people can, and will, change the world.

We are going to keep educating, training, and mobilizing high school and college activists to build a future free from gun violence. If the courts won’t protect us, our generation will.

We have proven time and again that when young people organize, the status quo shifts. Let’s show the Supreme Court, the NRA, and every gun manufacturer that our lives are not up for debate.
