Women’s March – May 27, 2026

Far-right tradwife influencers, Christian nationalists, and MAGA talking heads are openly arguing that households should get one vote, cast by the husband or “head of household.”

In plain English? Women lose their independent vote. It sounds fringe. But so did overturning Roe.

And it’s part of a larger project already underway: gutting the Voting Rights Act, attacking mail voting, gerrymandering districts, suppressing student voters, and pushing women back into “traditional” roles at home and out of public life.

Authoritarian movements attack democracy and women’s autonomy at the same time.

Congress must protect our freedoms by passing the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act and the Freedom to Vote Act. Tell Congress: protect one person, one vote.
