President Trump has just taken control of the D.C. police, and now he’s even deploying the D.C. National Guard. All under the guise of “cleaning up the streets.”
This is beyond outrageous. It’s full-blown fascism.
This is what authoritarianism looks like in real time. First, they seize control of the levers of power. Then they use them to intimidate, silence, and suppress dissent.
It’s happening because Trump believes he’s above the law — and he’s built an army of enablers who will carry out his authoritarian agenda without hesitation.
