As we get closer to Election Day, it’s important to me that I make my values as clear as possible.

Now, my Republican opponent and I disagree on a lot — and those differences couldn’t be clearer when it comes to abortion rights and reproductive freedom.

I am the only candidate running for Attorney General who will aggressively defend a woman’s right to make her own health care decisions.

I want to make a few commitments to you today. As Attorney General, I will always:

• Defend abortion access from right-wing attacks on the state and national level.
• Safeguard contraception, IVF, and the full suite of reproductive and sexual health care.
• Fight to shield abortion providers from prosecution and protect people traveling to Washington to access abortion care.
• Be an advocate for gender-affirming health care and protect trans youth from extremist attacks on their fundamental human rights.

No matter what is happening on a national level, Washington is a beacon of hope and leads the nation in policies to protect reproductive and sexual freedom. Under my leadership, we will continue that tradition — and build upon it to expand health care access for all.
