ON THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL: HARRIS AND WALZ VISIT KEY BATTLEGROUNDS
Earlier this week, Vice President Harris and Governor Walz held their first rally of the election as an official ticket in Philadelphia.
In her speech introducing Governor Walz, Vice President Harris said: “Since the day that I announced my candidacy, I set out to find a partner who can help build [a] brighter future; a leader who will help unite our nation and move us forward; a fighter for the middle class; a patriot who believes, as I do, in the extraordinary promise of America — a promise of freedom, opportunity and justice. Not just for some, but for all … Pennsylvania, I’m here today because I found such a leader: Governor Tim Walz of the great state of Minnesota.”
Just this week, they visited Eau Claire, Detroit, Phoenix, and Las Vegas. And they’ll keep traveling the country to bring their message of progress and joy directly to the voters.
Together, Vice President Harris and Governor Walz will continue reaching out to everyone — from red states to blue states, from the heartland to the coasts, and from small towns and big cities to suburbs and tribal lands — to fight for the promise of America.

Governor Walz was born in West Point, Nebraska and lived in Butte, a small town of 400 where community was a way of life. Growing up, he spent summers working on the family farm.
In Congress, he forged compromises and took action for vets.
As Governor of Minnesota, he has an impressive record of delivering for middle class families like the one he grew up in — protecting access to fundamental freedoms, capping the cost of insulin, cutting taxes for working families, establishing universal background checks for gun purchases, and so much more.
Governor Walz’s parents taught him to show generosity toward your neighbors and to work for the common good. He took these same values to Congress, the state Capitol, and now, Vice President Harris and Governor Walz are running to take them to the White House.
