PDC continues lunch and learn series with sessions geared toward new campaigns
The Public Disclosure Commission’s popular lunch and learn series continues this spring with four sessions aimed at helping new 2026 campaigns get started.
Topics include campaign registration and personal financial affairs reporting, choosing mini- or full-reporting, and reporting contributions and expenditures.
The PDC offers comprehensive classes each month covering campaign finance rules and laws in Washington and offering demonstrations of online filing systems.
These lunchtime sessions are intended to be shorter, more narrowly focused classes that include a short presentation and a question-and-answer period. The free, virtual classes start at noon and last for about 45 minutes, depending on class participation.
Upcoming sessions:
- May 11: You’ve decided to run for office, now what?
- May 12: Mini and full-reporting options
- May 26: Filing contribution reports (C-3)
- June 2: Reporting expenditures (C-4)
The PDC was created in 1972 with the passage of I-276, which passed with more than 70 percent of the vote. The agency, governed by a Commission of five members appointed by the governor, receives more than 95,000 reports from candidates, political committees, lobbyists and other filers annually, and maintains millions of public records available online.
