Hello fellow Democrats! Benton and Franklin County Democrats will be partnering with each other to participate in a number of community visibility events over the summer and into the fall. The first of these is the Cinco de Mayo Parade and street fair, which will be held on May 2 (I know, I know, but it’s the nearest Saturday…) We’re hoping to have good participation in walking with the parade float and handing out candy and also in staffing the booth and talking to interested folks. We will provide further information for the meeting location for the booth and setup time once we are given that information by the City of Pasco. Right now, we have the booth setup shift listed from 8:30-10am at Peanuts Park. The booth will be somewhere near the park like it was last year. We think our booth was at 4th and Clark last year.
The parade staging is from 7:30-9:30am. We plan to be at the staging area before 8:00 am, but volunteers should arrive there at 9:30am. The parade starts at 10am. The staging location is on Tacoma Ave between Bonneville St and Sylvester St.
