Move On – March 29, 2026

Posted on March 29, 2026

Historic! After yesterday’s record-breaking No Kings protests, momentum is on our side. Will you start a $5 monthly donation to absorb and train the millions of new activists in our movement and to turbocharge our efforts to end Donald Trump’s tyranny?

Yes, I’ll chip in $5 a month.

No, I’m sorry, I can’t make a monthly donation.

Dear MoveOn member,

WE DID IT! Yesterday was the largest single day of protest in modern U.S. history.

Across more than 3,300 protests, marches, and demonstrations in all 50 states and abroad, at least 8 million of us gathered to say: America is a democracy, not a dictatorship. This country does not belong to kings.

Trump’s authoritarian regime wants us isolated, afraid, and silent. Instead, in the face of tyranny, 8 million of us definitely and courageously took to the streets—loudly, nonviolently, powerfully, and joyfully.

And while yesterday’s record-breaking protest was important, what happens next is even more important.

Because tyranny won’t be dismantled in a single day. It’s going to take sustained and relentless grassroots resistance over time.

And that’s where MoveOn comes in. We are the largest independent grassroots organization in the country, and we have been organizing millions of people across the country for nearly three decades. Our expertise in mobilizing the masses means we will be critical to the movement against authoritarianism. MoveOn is dedicated to continuing our work, day in and day out, 24/7, to building this mass mobilization movement alongside a web of other allied organizations.

But we need your help to have the financial resources to turbocharge and sustain our organizing, community by community all across the country, to defeat Trump’s authoritarian regime.

Will you start a monthly donation of $5 to MoveOn now to build the mass mobilization movement to stop Trump’s tyranny?

Yes, I’ll chip in $5 a month.

No, I’m sorry, I can’t make a monthly donation.

The “3.5% rule” from historical research tells us that no authoritarian government has survived when 3.5% of the population mobilizes nonviolently in a sustained way.1 For the U.S., that’s roughly 11 million people.

Here is our trajectory.

April 2025: 3 million people at 1,300 Hands Off! events.

June 2025: 5 million people at 2,100 No Kings events.

October 2025: 7 million people at 2,700 No Kings events.

March 2026: 8 million people at 3,300 No Kings events.

Our movement isn’t just growing, it’s surging. It’s historic. It’s record-breaking.

Millions of people are joining our movement—including so many yesterday. Now, it’s up to us to absorb these new activists, train them, and ensure they remain committed and engaged in the fight in a sustained way.

Will you donate $5 a month to help MoveOn absorb thousands of new activists into the movement and power the long-term organizing we need to topple the tide of authoritarianism?

Yes, I’ll chip in $5 a month.

No, I’m sorry, I can’t make a monthly donation.

Many of us were able to attend a No Kings protest yesterday. But not all of us can show up to every meeting or take to the streets. And that’s OK.

Because all of us can play our own unique role in building the movement to dismantle Trump’s tyranny, whether it’s taking to the streets, talking to our friends and neighbors, sharing resources on our social media pages, or something else.

Making a donation is one powerful way of organizing your resources in service of the movement—fueling outreach, training, and coordination that bring more people in and keep them engaged. It’s one of the most direct and concrete ways of powering the work.

Just like organizing your community or showing up to a protest, providing financial support is a way of powering the movement against authoritarianism and helping make long-term change possible.

And now more than ever, we need the resources in our fight against tyranny. Will you start a monthly donation of $5 today?

Yes, I’ll chip in $5 a month.

No, I’m sorry, I can’t make a monthly donation.

Yesterday proved that when we come together, we are unstoppable. The future is in our hands. ¡La lucha sigue! The fight continues!

Thanks for all you do.

–Adrienne, Erica, Aliya, Isbah, and the rest of the team
