Happy Women’s History Month!!
This Women’s History Month, I want to honor the women who carried us on their backs: the trailblazers, organizers, and everyday heroes whose courage and vision built our communities and shaped our state.
I know firsthand the power of women’s leadership. As the proud daughter of a single mom, I am the first woman of color to serve as Chair of the Washington State Democrats, and the first South Asian woman to lead a state party. My story is proof that when women are empowered, they lift entire communities with them.
Washington is fortunate to have women leading the way, including the majority of our Democratic Congressional Delegation, showing vision, strength, and an unwavering commitment to building a brighter, more equitable future for all.
This month, let’s celebrate the women who fought for the rights we enjoy today, and honor the special women in our lives.
In solidarity,
Chair Shasti Conrad

In 2024, Washington Democrats led the nation with sweeping electoral victories. Now, we’re fighting to elect a supermajority in Olympia, protect our swing seats in the House, and stand up to MAGA extremism across the country.
WA Dems empowers grassroots organizing and elects Democrats up and down the ballot. Your support fuels our fight to stop Trump and defend our democracy.
